What a great post! Love the photos and short text that says so much.
As the oldest in my family, I'm okay with that...
I always won footsy. And against my brother who is eight years older. Because he's a boy, he had a weak spot that a five-year-old girl always seemed to find. ;-)
Oh I can SO relate. That was me, the younger sister, being pummeled by my older sister who never showed mercy and always won. Every time. Well done documenting the whole thing. I love Esther's face at the end.
I am an older sister ...
Essie's expression is funny at the end. I can't tell if she is thinking, "who me?" or "I didn't do anything wrong?" or "It's kind of boring on this couch alone."
Poor Isla .... as the youngest sister (and youngest child) in my family, I can so sympathize with her. To make matters worse - I was the kind that got so frustrated I would lash out hit my older brother/sister, and my mom would walk in just in tome to see me hit ... not everything that led to my outburst. Cest la vie...
Totally off topic, but Betsy, I'm thinking of you this week as you get ready for Ian's return flight! I know all your loyal readers will be doing the same, and even though we'll be anxious to hear how it goes, we'll understand if you're incommunicado for awhile.
We called it 'feet to feet'. I would eventually straighten my legs and lock my knees so that she couldn't push my legs back. I'm the younger sister. I feel for you Isla!KiminAZ
Haha! That is totally how my little sister and I used to fight...on the couch with our feet. I don't remember always being the one who won though. =)
ya i was in a war where i got stabbed with a fork not fun and i still have the mark to show it and i an the youngest of 3
